Essevee does a great job in the title battle with a late winner against Lommel

With Lommel and Zulte Waregem, two potential champions faced each other in the Challenger Pro League. Zulte Waregem in particular can call themselves a title candidate this season and also did the best on Saturday by winning 1-2 in Limburg.

Lommel is also going through a difficult period and seemed already eliminated from the title fight, but was able to breathe new life into it with a win against Essevee. It was not a bad game by any means, although it was Zulte Waregem that took the lead through Traoré after a nice assist from Stavros Gabriel.

However, the score did not last long because Diego Rose also managed to score beautifully and scored the equalizer two minutes later. That score remained on the scoreboard for a long time, but Essevee found it a bit easier in the end after a red card for Lommel’s Owari.

Zulte Waregem went looking for the winning goal and found it. In the absolute final, Machado eventually made it 1-2, meaning that Zulte Waregem remains at the top of the standings. Lommel remains stuck in sixth place.
