Mainz 05 against FC Bayern: Who will win?

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany announced that none of the numerous injured Bayern players will return to Mainz, including striker Harry Kane. However, Kane will be able to play again after his hamstring injury against Leipzig.

Kompany has the clear goal of winning the last two games of the year and starting the new year as the undisputed league leader. This is Bayern's second appearance in Mainz this season. In the DFB Cup, Munich triumphed 4-0 after three goals from national player Jamal Musiala.

Despite the DFB Cup victory, Kompany expressed great respect for Mainz, especially in away games. Mainz have achieved mostly good results recently. “They have self-confidence – but so do we,” emphasized Kompany. Bayern are still undefeated in the Bundesliga. (epp/dpa)
