The American actor, well established in the state of Connecticut, recently packed up. His new destination: Madrid, hometown of his wife Alejandra Silva, whom he married in secret in 2018. In April, Richard Gere welcomed this move in the pages of Vanity Fair : “For me, going to Madrid is going to be a great adventure because I have never lived full-time outside of the United States.“

But this decision was mainly taken for Alejandra Silva, daughter of the former vice-president of Real Madrid, very involved in various associations such as the NGO Rais Foundation for the Homelesswhich helps homeless people in Spain. He explains: “For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to get closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture.” The couple, who welcomed their second child in 2020, seem to particularly enjoy being in the Spanish capital, where they were seen all smiles at the end of November at the event ELLE For Future 2024.
