Good morning, People of the Navigli, the next Weekend will be the Weekend that precedes Christmas 2024 and this is how we will then head directly towards the Year to Come, namely two thousand and twenty-five! ! !
The Italian Song Festival
And what will be the first Event of 2025? ? ? Obviously the Sanremo Festival! ! ! As Carla Zucca wrote “On Sunday 1 December, Carlo Conti made the big announcement live, revealing the names of the Big singers who we will see from 11 to 15 February on the stage of the Sanremo 2025 Festival. A moment followed with the same intensity as a football match, everyone standing in front of the television cheering (or not) at each nomination, including the competitors. The videos of celebration and hot comments published by the singers quickly made the rounds on social media as the very first reaction to having heard their name mentioned by Carlo Conti.” There were those who fainted, those who rejoiced and even those who “ironically” celebrated their exclusion. . . for the series Tutto fa Spettacolo.
What should we expect?
But what kind of festival will it be? ? ? I don't know . . . In the meantime, let's take note of the news! ! ! Carlo Conti is a great professional and I believe that the event will have a more formal look and less like a tourist village as it was with Amadeus and Fiorello. Will it be the last edition broadcast by Rai? ? ? Well eventually we'll change the channel. The singers? ? ? Almost all of them are well-known, some even of superlative value, ranging from 20 to 80 years old. In theory there should be a lot of quality and unfortunately the use of Auto Tune, which I HATE, helps a lot, but what will count will be the songs, the lyrics and above all the ability to make yourself understood and listened to (which is not a given as far as heard in the latest editions).
My thoughts
A small consideration of mine is that most of the “young singers” today all sing in the same way, they are monotonous, repetitive in the melody, in the lyrics and also in the attitudes. I love other music, maybe even live “cues”, virtuosity, solos, improvisations! ! ! Today this is certainly no longer the case, we have evolved perhaps even too much thanks to Artificial Intelligence which today, paradoxically, would make even a dead man sing. But what does it matter? . . We will all have time for the fateful predictions: now let's enjoy the wait and also Life. Happy Weekend
