Barely revealed, the 100% female composition of the jury for the Miss France 2025 competition is questioning some. Frédéric Gilbert, CEO of the Miss France company, explained this Friday, December 13, why no man appeared this year.
A few hours before the Miss France competition, Frédéric Gilbert wanted to explain himself. Invited by “Buzz TV”, this Friday, December 13, the president and CEO of the Miss France company returned to a controversy which made Pascal Praud and Cyril Hanouna scream. On November 28, the beauty contest unveiled its new jury. In addition to the president of the jury, Sylvie Vartan, we also find the comedian Nawell Madani, the small screen star Cristina Cordula, the dancer Fauve Hautot and the athlete Marie-José Pérec, who lit up the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games this summer. But now, this is the third time in four years that the competition has presented a 100% female jury. Immediately, Pascal Praud got annoyed on the airwaves of Europe 1, seeing it as a form of “discrimination“. The next day, presenter Cyril Hanouna went further on C8, in remarks relayed by TVMag : “We have to stop thinking that feminism is women against men, it's women against men. A mixed jury was needed.
However, Frédéric Gilbert is not opposed to the idea of a mixed jury. On the contrary, he claims that the competition team “contacted men“. But he explains: “I think there is a certain restraint in coming to the jury.“Why? The #MeToo movement”must have played a little“, causing in men a “some restraint”especially when it comes to the way young Misses are viewed. He continues: “Next year, I hope we will have men“But he welcomes another development in the world after #MeToo. He explains that the peak audience is now during the speeches of the fifteen semi-finalists. “Ten years ago, the audience peaks were for swimsuit segments. It proves that mentalities have evolved“, he explains optimistically.

In 30 years, Jean-Pierre Foucault has never managed to guess which Miss will win the crown
During his interview Frédéric Gilbert also mentioned a surprise planned to celebrate Jean-Pierre Foucault's 30th anniversary at the presentation of the program which has become cult. While the suspense builds during the program, many are already trying to guess which of the 30 regional Misses will win the competition, Saturday December 14, on the stage of the Arena Futuroscope in Poitiers . If artificial intelligence has already chosen its big favorite, Jean-Pierre Foucault has perhaps not yet finalized his predictions. He also confided to Progress last December 8, that he had never guessed the big winner in 30 years of presentations!
