Among the people summoned to appear in court is the advertising executive Aurélien Poirson-Atlan, known and followed on social networks under the pseudonym “Zoé Sagan”. Regularly suspended, he is the subject of several complaints and is often presented as linked to conspiratorial circles.

In addition to his remarks targeting Brigitte Macron, “Zoé Sagan” is known for having broadcast on social networks the videos of a sexual nature of Benjamin Griveaux, a Macronist who had given up in February 2020 on running for mayor of Paris for the presidential party following the scandal.

A “female artificial intelligence”

More recently, “Zoé Sagan” distributed a list of actors presented as sexual assaulters in the world of cinema, attacked a franceinfo journalist or the director of the Conspiracy Watch site, Rudy Reichstadt.

This person has a website with a paid subscription and presents herself as a “female artificial intelligence”.

In addition to Mr. Poirson-Atlan, three other people were arrested on Tuesday and will be judged, according to the prosecution: Jean-Luc M. (born in 1960 and living in Saône-et-), Bertrand S. (born in 1969 , residing in Paris) and Jean-Christophe D. (born in 1971).

The possibly sexist nature of the alleged cyberharassment does not constitute an aggravating circumstance.

Cyberharassed female politicians

On Sagan is “reproached” for having “revealed” the “best kept secret of power”, namely the age, 14, that Emmanuel Macron would have been when he entered into a relationship with his future wife Brigitte.

Me Branco affirms that this would be a potential offense “if the limitation period had not intervened”.

Among the messages also subject to this future trial, a fake news resurfacing regularly on social networks since the election of Emmanuel Macron in 2017, according to which Brigitte Macron, née Trogneux, would never have existed, but that her brother Jean-Michel would have taken this identity after changing sex.

Two women had largely contributed to making her known in 2021, via a long “interview” of more than four hours where the first, the “medium” Amandine Roy, questioned the second, Natacha Rey, “self-taught independent journalist” on her YouTube channel. on the discovery of this “deception”, “scam”, this “state lie”.

The rumor was exported internationally

In the four-hour interview broadcast on YouTube, the two women broadcast photos of Brigitte Macron and her family, spoke of surgical procedures she had undergone, claimed that she would not be the mother of her three children, and gave personal information about his brother.

Tried in June in Paris, they were convicted in September for defamation, after a complaint, already, from Ms. Macron.

The false information had a greater impact after the YouTube video, even being exported internationally – notably and again recently in the United States, where it went viral on the far right, in the middle of the presidential campaign.

Several female politicians around the world have already suffered from transphobic information, such as the former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, the current American Vice-President Kamala Harris or the former Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern.
