Disaster for the L’Equipe channel

The puzzle continues for the L’Equipe group. The sports media announced Thursday that two shocks from the 16th day of Serie A, Juventus-Venezia on Saturday evening (8:45 p.m.) and Lazio-Inter on Monday (8:45 p.m.), will be broadcast on L'Equipe live football, the channel accessible to subscribers on the web platform (subscriptions start at 9.99 euros per month). This means that the L'Equipe channel (TNT channel and therefore free) is still unable to broadcast the Italian championship match promised every weekend.

This is a real disappointment for calcio followers. Serie A launched its 2024-2025 season without any broadcaster in France, after the end of collaboration with beIN Sports (due to excessive demands from the Italian league). The L'Equipe group acquired the TV rights to two posters per day at the end of September (choice 1 every other day and choice 3). One match was to be broadcast on the L'Equipe channel, the other on the website/mobile application.

Since then, a technical problem has prevented L'Equipe from broadcasting its clash of Serie Asince the L'Equipe channel is broadcast in regions of Switzerland and Italy! The L'Equipe group thought it could offer (free of charge) very beautiful Italian posters to football fans in France, but that was without taking into account the reception of French DTT in Geneva (almost landlocked in France) or in transalpine border areas.

On the L'Equipe platform, we will therefore find the meeting of Juventus of Khephren Thuram (6th in the ranking before the day) against the red lantern Venezia. On Monday, Inter must achieve a result at Lazio. The Nerazzurri have three points less than Atalanta heading into this weekend but have a game in hand. Benjamin Pavard is still unavailable. Lazio of Samuel Gigot, Mattéo Guendouzi, Loum Tchaouna and Boulaye Dia has the same number of points as the Interists.
