FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment have released the first trailer of “Elden Ring: Nightrein,” a game that is being described as a standalone co-op spin-off title which will release next year.
The multiplayer-focused game is being sold a separate title as opposed to DLC like this year’s “Shadow of the Erdtree,” and thus will potentially avoid awards qualification issues like ‘Erdtree’ experienced.
The title sees a trio of Elden Ringers take on many foes in the Lands Between, this time the world changes every time you play. Melina also returns for the new title.
The aim is to be a faster and more intense experience than its predecessor, but still plenty of bosses to take on and horses to clear.
In the game you get the ability to glide with animals and double jump, with combat heightened to an even more epic scale.
“Elden Ring: Nightreign” is expected to launch some time in 2025 across all platforms.
