Voting intentions in view of the next presidential election

In a tense political context, marked by the overthrow of Michel Barnier's government, Ifop-Fiducial for Le Figaro Magazine and Sud radio questioned the French on their voting intentions in the run-up to the next presidential election.

This survey corresponds to the first measurement of voting intentions for the next presidential election, post-censorship motion.

Benefiting from a “catch-all” electorate, Marine Le Pen finds herself in pole position and at a level never recorded before, with voting intentions oscillating between 35 and 38%.

Edouard Philippe “is in shock” and would obtain between 24 and 26% of the voting intentions. Gabriel Attal is in decline with 20% of voting intentions (compared to 24% in September).

The left finds itself in difficulty. Jean-Luc Mélenchon would place himself in the lead and collect between 11% and 12% of voting intentions, but would not succeed in mobilizing his electoral base: only 53% of his 2022 voters would express an intention to vote for the rebellious leader.

Finally, note that 8% of French people would express an intention to vote for Laurent Wauquiez (compared to 5% in September).
