FIFA had confirmed in the bid evaluation report, published last November 30, that the joint nomination of Morocco, Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup finals, the only bid in the race, is distinguished by its “comprehensive quality” and exceeds the “minimum hosting requirements.” Required in the technical evaluation.

The report noted that if the volume of construction projects in a six-year period requires close monitoring and, in some cases, even support measures, the presence of mitigating factors should be emphasized, such as the fact that many projects have already begun (particularly in Morocco, As work is scheduled to be completed on several stadiums on the horizon of hosting the 2025 African Cup of Nations, the quality and accuracy of the proposed plans and commitment to these projects reflects a high degree of confidence.

On the other hand, the source indicated that the Morocco-Spain-Portugal 2030 nomination file proposes various and important options for its stadiums, which amount to 20 stadiums (six in Morocco, three in Portugal and 11 in Spain), and this exceeds the minimum requirements (14 stadiums) specified for the Cup. World 2030, which gives enough flexibility to choose various stadiums in the three countries.
