From Monday to Friday, Kai Pflaume welcomes two celebrity guests to his quiz show “Who knows something like that?” They ask themselves different questions with the guessing team captains Bernhard Hoëcker and Elton.
“Who knows something like that?” is a fixture among the quiz shows on ARD’s early evening program. New episodes have been broadcast since the beginning of October. The last season was a real ratings booster: According to ARD, the show had an average market share of 19.6 percent, and around 3.3 million viewers watched the show every day.
In the quiz show, which has been broadcast since 2015, presenter Kai Pflaume welcomes celebrities to the quiz studio in Hamburg from Monday to Friday. The most important things about the current show at a glance:
Who knows something like that today: Who will be the guests on December 10th?
The celebrities who compete in a team with Bernhard Hoëcker or Elton change from show to show: This Tuesday, December 10th, two well-known musicians are guests: Tim Bendzko and Marianne Rosenberg. He made his breakthrough in 2011 with the song “Just save the world for a moment” – next year he’s going on a big tour (“Come on”), which starts in April. Like Bendzko, Rosenberg also comes from Berlin – albeit from the eastern part of the city. The pop icon, who has been one of the most successful artists in Germany since the 70s (“He belongs to me”, “Marleen”), released her album “Bunter Planet” this year. A club tour is planned for the end of 2025.
- Monday, December 9th: Guido Cantz (moderator) and Bernd Stelter (comedian and actor)
- Tuesday, December 10th: Marianne Rosenberg (singer) and Tim Bendzko (singer)
- Wednesday, December 11th: Oliver Kalkofe (satirist) and Maike Kühl (actress and cabaret artist)

Who knows something like this: who won the last show?
Guido Cantz and Bernd Stelter were guests on Monday. The main question in the duel between the two comedians was: “Whoever enters a jewelry store in France is interested in…?”
- A: Underwear
- B: Schmuck
- C: Sweet pastries
Both teams chose answer B, jewelry. That was right. Elton and Stelter thus won the duel; at 3,999 euros, they had 2,000 euros more in their account than their opponent.
“Who knows something like that?”: What is the show about?
In the show, two teams compete against each other. The two guests compete with one of the two so-called team captains: the actor, comedian and presenter Bernhard Hoëcker or entertainer and presenter Elton. The aim of the game is to end up with more money than the opposing team.
The two guessing teams have to answer questions from different categories – as is usual in a quiz show. These categories differ in the individual episodes. If the team answers a question correctly, they receive 500 euros. There are three answers to choose from. After the main round – in which each team takes its turn six times – the maximum amount is 3,000 euros. The answers to the quiz questions are given through short films.
After the main round there is a so-called master question. Moderator Plum selects the category from this. The guessing teams then have to decide how much of the money they have earned up to that point they would like to bet. If you give the correct answer, the amount bet doubles. If you answer incorrectly, the amount will be deducted. The team that has more money in their account wins. The money won is divided among the audience in the studio.
