The national secretary of the environmental party also said she wanted to remain “faithful” to the “promises” of the New Popular Front.
Will the environmentalist party be impervious to compromise like their rebellious allies who announced that they would censor any minister who did not come from the New Popular Front? A priori no, since Marine Tondelier announced this morning that she wanted “a republican front”.
“Being loyal to our voters does not mean waiting to have a completely free hand because that day will not come right away”affirmed the national secretary of EELV on RMC. “The solution must be found within the framework of the Republican front”she also declared.
Marine Tondelier has, however, affirmed on several occasions that she “respected” the choice of rebellious France to stick to its position decreed last July following the legislative elections and the creation of a common program around the alliance of left-wing parties. “The whole program and nothing but the program”the main left-wing leaders had declared together.
“The NFP still exists”
“I am faithful to the promise we made to NFP voters […] and the NFP still exists”wanted to remind Marine Tondelier “but with the current National Assembly, we must find a solution within the framework of the Republican front”she defended. The elected environmentalist said she had “tried to call” Gabriel Attal, the head of the presidential party on several occasions, without success for the moment.
The boss of the Greens also castigated the “snub for Emmanuel Macron and his diplomacy” while the President of the European Commission is traveling to Latin America to try to conclude the economic agreement much criticized by France between the European Union and the Mercosur countries, thanks to the fall of the French government.
“Political chaos allows their allies in the rest of Europe to walk all over them”castigated Marine Tondelier without mincing her words. “They don’t make anyone respect them. […] France has lost all its power on the international level and weighs nothing”.
