Another one that the censors won't have. Aid for MaPrimeRénov' energy renovation work will continue to cover “mono-gestures” in 2025, such as changing a boiler or windows, according to a decree and an order published this Thursday in the Official Journal. Both texts were signed at the last minute before censorship by Michel Barnier's government. They plan to retain the rules in force concerning aid for isolated renovation work.
No obligation to carry out a diagnosis
Individuals may be subsidized to insulate their roof, change their windows or for another single action, without necessarily having to change their heating method, as initially planned. They will not be required to carry out an energy performance diagnosis (EPD) to qualify for aid. Owners of very energy-intensive individual houses (classified F and G in the DPE) will remain eligible for the MaPrimeRénov' “step-by-step route” in 2025, and not obliged to undertake major large-scale renovation work.
The extension of these current rules, already mentioned by the resigning Minister of Housing Valérie Létard, was widely requested by professionals in the sector. Since January 1, 2024, MaPrimeRénov' has been subject to more conditions, with the aim of allocating it more to large-scale renovations. But adjustment measures had been introduced for the period from May 15 to December 31, allowing aid to be requested for simple works and the “refocusing” of aid had been postponed until 2025.
Before the censorship, the draft budget provided for a sharp drop in financial resources dedicated to MaPrimeRénov', which were to fall from 4 billion euros to 2.3 billion.
