Bardella claims to have been “constructive to the end”

The president of the National Rally (RN) claims to have been “constructive” in writing the 2025 budget and regrets not having been listened to by Prime Minister Michel Barnier.

Their decision is made. In a few hours, this Wednesday, December 4, RN deputies will vote on the motion of censure tabled by the left and overthrow the government of Michel Barnier.

Jordan Bardella, whose party did not reject the Prime Minister a prioripresents censorship as a solution of last resort. “We have been constructive to the end: but when the Prime Minister presents us with a budget of recession, of punishment (…) then it is my duty to reject it,” declared the president of the RN at the microphone of Inter.

“I cannot go back to my voters and tell them that I let such a text pass.” “I made commitments, I must ensure they are respected,” added the MEP.

“Red lines” not “heard”

Jordan Bardella regrets that the “red lines” of the RN were not “heard” by Michel Barnier, and hopes that the next government will “take them into consideration”. “These are the ones the French voted for,” he assures.

These red lines, “I want them to be heard in full,” insisted the president of the RN.

Some of these demands were heard by Michel Barnier, who agreed to giving in at the last minute on medication reimbursement. But the Prime Minister has refused to take a step towards the RN concerning the deindexation of pensionsdefinitively igniting the party in flames.

Interviewed in Matignon this Tuesday evening, Michel Barnier denounced the “one-upmanship” of Marine Le Pen and her party. “We listened to everyone and we made progress, progress on many points,” he argued.
