Two young men aged 19 and 18 were seriously injured by gunshot, in the middle of the street, in Grenoble (Isère), this late Monday evening. Targeted by Kalashnikov shots, they were taken care of by emergency services and transported to hospital, in a state of absolute emergency, indicates a source close to the case, confirming information from Dauphiné. The youngest's life prognosis was then in jeopardy.
This double murder attempt took place in the Alma district around 11:30 p.m., near Place Edmond-Arnaud, near a deal point, and a few hundred meters from the police station. The 19-year-old victim was hit in one foot and took shelter under a van. The second young man, injured in a leg and hip, took refuge in the Marcel-Reymond courtyard.
The two injured people were treated by firefighters and SAMU doctors. They were taken to the Grenoble-Alpes University Hospital and are already known to the police.
The police set up a security perimeter and carried out observations at the crime scene. They discovered around fifteen 7.62 caliber cases, corresponding to the use of a Kalashnikov type rifle. An investigation into attempted murder was opened and entrusted to police officers from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS).
A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured by gunfire in the same neighborhood last May. At the end of October, the prosecution had recorded around fifty shootings linked to drug trafficking, which left six people dead in the Grenoble metropolis.
