Remco Evenepoel hospitalized after training accident

The Belgian prodigy, who was promised a career as a footballer before starting cycling late, at just 17 years old, has already suffered two serious falls since the start of his career. The first, on the Tour of Lombardy in 2020, when he fell into the Sormano ravine, forced him to spend almost a year without competition. The second, on the Tour of the Basque Country in 2024, saw him fall in the undergrowth while going downhill and fracture his shoulder blade and collarbone. Three and a half months later, he finished 3rd in his first Grande Boucle.
