Cristiano Ronaldo: “What happened to him”, “You don’t want to win”

Fans took to social media to protest Cristiano Ronaldo’s exclusion from the Al-Nassr side for today’s AFC clash against Al Sadd. The Portuguese legend has been integral to the Saudi Arabian team this season, and his exclusion has drawn consternation from supporters.

Following the exclusion of the legendary forward from the team, fans took to X to protest his exclusion from Stefano Pioli’s side, with one post saying:

“What happened to Ronaldo.”

Another post said:

“No Ronaldo no Watch.”

Another upset fan’s post said:

“No Ronaldo in such important match. You don’t want to win.”

Another post said:

“Sorry not watching your match today.”

The final post in our selection said:

“Watch Al nassr lose without Ronaldo.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fabulous form for Al-Nassr in the 2024-25 season. The legendary Portuguese forward has scored 15 goals and made three assists in 18 games.

He will support his team from the sidelines as they face Al-Sadd, with qualification to the next phase of the competition already secured.

Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo advised his former club, Manchester United, to start over and rebuild everything if they hope to win the Premier League title again. Ronaldo is one of the most beloved figures in the club’s history, playing 346 times across two stints.

Ronaldo recently played for the English giants until the winter of 2022 before he left to join his current club in contentious circumstances. His contract was mutually terminated after an explosive interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan, where he publically criticized the club.

Speaking about the Red Devils in a recent interview with his former teammate, Rio Ferdinand, on his podcast, Rio Ferdinand presents FIVE via Al Jazeera, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner said:

“They need to rebuild everything, in my opinion … the club needs time to rebuild because it’s still one of the best clubs in the world, but they need to change. They understand that this is the only way.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently enjoying life at Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro-League. Since his arrival in January 2023, he has scored an impressive 73 goals and provided 18 assists in 82 games for the side.
