REPORTAGE – Pour Le Figarofour children and teenagers tested the ancestor of the PS5, the latest fashionable console, for the first time in their lives.
“It’s been a long time since I plugged it in, I hope it will still work.” Ghislain carefully connects his old gray console to his cathode television. And the magic happens. This Wednesday afternoon in November, the co-owner of the Extra Life Café, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, takes part in the game to Le Figaro : four children and adolescents test the PlayStation 1 for the first time in their lives, which is celebrating 30 years of its marketing in its country of birth, Japan, this December 3. Accustomed to new technologies and modern video games, Farès, 8 years old, Lola, 11 years old, Jules and Lucas, 13 years old, are preparing to take a leap into the past and discover the era that rocked their parents' youth : the 90s.
