Falling temperatures, rain and snow in the plains: a “cold snap” will hit the country, Météo France sounds the alert

L’meteorological winter started this Sunday, December 1st. If the temperatures are still mild for the season, the start of a refreshment is about to be given. Météo France is already announcing “a parade of disturbances at the end of the week”.

Roughly speaking, the weather conditions are entering a roller coaster period with two disturbances which will follow one another. First this Tuesday-Wednesday before a new mild spell Thursday-Friday. And, finally, a second, more serious shift at the end of the week.

“Felt much more wintery”

The different forecasters agree in fact to announce the arrival of a “cold snap”according to the terms used by Guillaume Séchet who confirms “a much more wintery feeling”. Melting snow could fall in the plains this Sunday, December 8, and could last until the middle of next week.

The “risk of snow in France between the end of the weekend and the middle of next week” announced by Météo Villes, however, remains to be confirmed, due to the distant nature of the forecast.

The cold should set in until the end of next week. It remains to be seen with what intensity. Determining parameter: a possible cold drop in Mediterranean synonymous with humidity and cold. However, the models do not yet agree on the exact location of the phenomenon, between Spain and Italy.
