DECRYPTION – The former director of Stellantis had dazzled Fiat Chrysler with a method that guaranteed record margins. In less than four years, it has drained the teams and multiplied the conflicts.
Stellantis will not celebrate four years of the Tavares method. This tough management, which has long made it possible to generate extraordinary margins, has made the manager famous in the automotive world; it will give way to a new formula. This new method will have to retain the strong points of the old one, but also guarantee peace with the stakeholders – suppliers, dealers, governments, unions – with whom Stellantis had gone to war, in Europe as in the United States.
