It's a weather record that we could have done without. In November 2024, the sun only shone for 39.7 hours in Maine-et-Loire, according to records from the Météo France station in Beaucouzé – the reference for the department. Far, very far, from the 84 hours recorded on average for the 11the month of the year. This situation was already visible with a catastrophic start to the month. From 1is on November 9 inclusive, the sun actually showed a zero point. The fault is a gigantic anticyclone placing thick layers of fog on the ground.
A maximum of 6:36 a.m. on November 29, 2024
The rest of the month certainly marked a small improvement. November 29 was thus bathed in 6:36 hours of sunshine; the 22nd at 6 a.m. all round; on the 14th at 5:36 a.m. But November 11, 17, 19, 23, 27, 28 and 30 were also days without any breakthrough of the sun in the sky over Maine-et-Loire. In ten years, no November had been so sunny in Anjou. And, during this year 2024, no month had been so overcast.

On the other hand, this month of November turned out to be rather dry, with only 67.9 mm of precipitation, almost half as much as in October.
