This Monday, December 2, while the trial for the murder of Victorine Dartois in 2020 is held in Grenoble, the killer's best friend, Ludovic Bertintestified at the microphone of RTL. Until now remaining in the shadows, the man who denounced the murderer to the gendarmerie after the disappearance of the 18-year-old young woman spoke publicly for the first time on this affair, declaring to our colleagues:
“He told me he intended to rape her, but at the last moment he didn’t and he killed her« adding: « Whatsomeone who turns off their phone, leaves home without their car to avoid detection, and returns after killing a girl leaving her undressed, for me it's someone who went on a hunt.«
As a reminder, Victorine Dartois had disappeared while returning home to Villefontaine, in Isère. His body, partially naked, was discovered in a stream.
Arrested three weeks later, Ludovic Bertinwith a criminal record already loaded with 10 convictions, confessed to the murder but had denied having wanted to rape her: it is therefore this version that his best friend refutes today. According to the latter, Ludovic Bertin had in fact from the start intended to rape the young girl, which supports the thesis of premeditation.
The trial, which opened on November 25, continues this week. The Isère Assize Court will deliver its verdict on December 6. Ludovic Bertin risks life imprisonment.
