A trip like no other and very busy for TF 1! Sunday evening, the headlines topped the audiences with the new American comedy “Ticket to Paradise”, directed by Ol Parker. The George Clooney-Julia Roberts duo attracted 3.93 million moviegoers. Market shares amount to 21.1% for the general public and 33.7% for women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty. A great feat for this feature film which had a total of 392,000 admissions when it was released in theaters in October 2022.
France 3 won the silver medal with rebroadcasts of the British series “Vera's Investigations”, hosted by Brenda Blethyn. The first episode of the evening convinced 2.67 million faithful, for 13.6% audience share.
M 6 follows with a new issue of its economic magazine “Capital”, presented by Julien Courbet. The reports on the second-hand kings of Vinted, Backmarket and EasyCash interested 2.07 million consumers, or 11.6% of the public and 20.3% of housewives under the age of fifty. Better than for the previous issue, which brought together 1.86 million French people (9.9%) two weeks earlier.
France 2 is at the foot of the podium with the new Franco-Belgian drama “Goliath”. This production by Frédéric Tellier in which Pierre Niney opposite Gilles Lellouche and Emmanuelle Berco attracted 2.03 million viewers, or 11.2% of the entire public. Released in theaters in March 2022, it had sold 791,000 tickets.
Among the other channels, Arte stands out thanks to the British-American war film “When the Eagles Attack” by Brian G. Hutton. This 1969 feature film starring Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood and Mary Ure attracted 1.11 million nostalgic viewers (6.5%).
