Auxerre stumbles into the Pink City
Toulouse logically dominated Auxerre to return to victory. Toulouse took the lead thanks to a goal from Joshua King and a penalty converted by Vincent Sierro before the break. Despite a few attempts in the second half, the Auxerres were too messy to worry a well-organized Toulouse team.
With this victory, TFC climbs to 10th place, coming within one point of Auxerre, which remains 8th but stalls in the fight for the top of the table.
Angers is back in the race to remain in Ligue 1
After two consecutive defeats, SCO Angers returned to victory against Le Havre. Dominant but ineffective in the first period, the Angevins broke the deadlock thanks to a goal from Himad Abdelli, from a corner taken perfectly by Farid El-Melali in the 64th minute.
Despite a late reaction from the Normans, Le Havre was unable to reverse the trend, losing its captain Josué Casimir to injury. This logical victory allows Angers to move forward before the break.
OM once again becomes runner-up to PSG!
At the Orange Vélodrome, Marseille overthrew Monaco to win 2-1 in a thrilling match. Dominated in the first period, the Olympians conceded the opener to Golovine after an error from Rongier. In the second half, OM increased their intensity: Luis Henrique equalized with a diving header, and Greenwood offered the victory from the penalty spot at the end of the match.
This success, only the second at home in Ligue 1 this season, propels Marseille to 2nd place in the ranking. Monaco, as in the Champions League, lost control after the break.
