On the A43 motorway and the secondary network around Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, traffic is still fluid, despite the installation of taxis at the toll booth.
With taxis planning to block many points in the Lyon metropolitan area, traffic could be very complicated over a large area if you go to the Rhône.
In a press release released on Saturday, the Rhône prefecture calls on motorists “to postpone their trips, to take public transport or to telework”.
In addition to tolls, several points are likely to be blocked in the Lyon metropolitan area. These are the M6 to the north, at the Valvert interchange (Tassin-la-Demi-Lune), the Node des Iles interchange to the east (A42, A46, Rocade Est), the A43 (Saint-Priest/Porte des Alpes), the A7/A450 interchange to the south as well as the A7, at the interchange with the southern urban boulevard (D301).
During the morning, taxis should reach Place Bellecour, in Lyon, where a bivouac is normally planned. “The prefect of Rhône has indicated to the organizers of this movement that no lasting blockage will be accepted. No action to filter access to hospitals will be tolerated,” state services warn.
