“It’s a horror”: bloody evening in Béziers, a man killed with a stab in the mouth by his young neighbor next door

At the end of rue Guilhemon, in Béziers, residents are discussing the drama which took place this Saturday, November 30 in the early evening. A 61-year-old man was killed by a 22-year-old neighbor who was stabbed in the mouth and apparently severed his carotid artery.

If the circumstances of this tragedy are still very murky, the young woman, who spent the night in the emergency room of Béziers hospital, was this Sunday morning in the premises of the Béziers police station. Sedated after his arrest, “she was placed in police custody on charges of murder. The first findings were made by the scientific police from the Béziers police station and the Montpellier judicial police. The investigations are currently entrusted to the Béziers police station for the purposes of to establish the course of the facts and their circumstances”, confirmed the public prosecutor of Béziers, Raphaël Balland.

“I was petrified on my balcony”

“I heard a noise when I came home from shopping. As is common upstairs, I came home, says a resident of No. 8 ter rue Guilhemon. I didn't want to have to get involved in anything. She was with her 6 year old daughter.

Blood flooded the crime scene floor

Another resident went to get help. The victim is presented as a man without history. “He was coming back from Bled. He was a farm worker who was never talked about. A good man with whom she frequently quarreled. He was still pruning the vines this summer. He was truly a good man. I didn't never seen anything like that. The blood was spurting, I didn't know what to do. It was everywhere.”

It is true that when you go up to the floors of the building, the common areas of which are completely dark, a strange feeling of oppression is felt. “I’m afraid to stay in this building”

My daughter must not see that It's a horror.” According to our information, the victim died from a stab wound to the mouth. The blade even severed under the violence of the blow and severed the carotid artery. By the time emergency services arrived on site, the sixty-year-old had died.
