The 38th edition of the Telethon, sponsored by Mika, ended on the night of November 30 to December 1 following a program hosted by Sophie Davant and Nagui. Discover the amount of donation pledges made at the end of a 30-hour television marathon.

An essential event for medical research, the Telethon has been organized every year since 1987 to finance research projects on neuromuscular genetic diseases, but also on other rare genetic diseases. The event is organized with the help of Télévisions, which is setting up a television marathon on all of its channels. If the Telethon generally takes place the first weekend of December, the reopening of Notre-Dame-de- has somewhat modified the plans. AFM-Téléthon and France Télévisions then made the decision to bring forward the date of the event to the weekend of November 29 and 30.

The 38th edition of the Telethon ended on the night of Saturday November 30 to Sunday December 1 with a prize pool amounting to 79,801,520 euros. A fantastic result for the association which will donate the entire amount for the benefit of research into rare genetic diseases. On the set of France 2, Laurence Tiennot-Herment, president of the AFM-Téléthon, wanted to thank all the France Télévisions teams, the presenters “each one more extraordinary than the last”, as well as Mika, “an extraordinary godfather who completed the marathon”.
