Sunday December 1, 2024, the Bordeaux half-marathon will start on the quays, at Place de la Bourse, from 9 a.m.
For this edition, more than 13,000 people will put on their running shoes to cross several emblematic places in the city such as the Pont de Pierre, the Bassins à Flot or the Cité du Vin.
An event that will disturb road traffic in the city. For the occasion, Bordeaux news takes stock of the changes to be planned.
Dock closures
From this Saturday, November 31, the which are going to be closed in both directions between the Pont de Pierre and the Allées de Bristol from 11:30 p.m.
On Sunday December 1st, the entire marathon route will be closed. It will be impossible to enter or leave the intra-race perimeter with a vehicle until the security device is lifted.
Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to enter this area. In terms of parking, it will be prohibited from parking on the platforms in both directions between the Pont de Pierre and the Allées de Bristol from 4 p.m. on Saturday November 31.
From 10 p.m., the parking ban will be extended to the Chaban-Delmas bridge.
The impact on TBM traffic
During the half-marathon, tram and bus traffic will be impacted. Some stations on tram lines A,B,C and D will not be served for a few hours. The resumption of traffic will take place gradually depending on the progress of the course.
Of the deviations will also be put in place for bus lines.
Traffic should return to normal around 14h30 on Sunday December 1st.
