“We’re at the end of our tether, we can’t sleep anymore”: the distress of Morgane’s parents, who disappeared the day after a family dispute

Her mother confides that an argument had taken place the day before the disappearance regarding the teenager's social networks.

The worry does not subside. Since Monday November 25, Morgane Rivoal, a 13-year-old girl, has been missing in Côtes-d'Armor. The young girl who was born and lives in the town of Pabu, near Guingamp, has been the subject of numerous searches since her mother reported her disappearance late Monday morning to the gendarmerie. His school informed the parents of his absence around 9:30 a.m.

However, the bus stop which allows him to reach the college is only 200 meters from his home. So what happened?

For the moment, the search continues, an investigation into a worrying disappearance being opened and carried out by the research brigade of the Guingamp gendarmerie company.

“The family and friends were heard,” said Nicolas Heitz, the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc in a press release.

One of Morgane's friends confided that the latter would have indicated on social networks that she would not come to class on Monday, said the magistrate cited by 3 Bretagne.

If she is a seemingly uneventful teenager, who has never run away, a family dispute still took place last weekend. “A heated discussion” occurred “with her parents during which her father broke his daughter’s cell phone and took her SIM card,” underlines the prosecutor. The dispute concerns in particular a TikTok account, of which the parents were unaware.

“It’s a long time to wait without a response, without knowing what to say to our children”

According to her details, the young girl left the house on Monday around 7:15 a.m. and said goodbye “as usual” to her parents. According to them, she left without money or bank card.

“Social media was the subject of our argument […] On these same networks, we also say that we were violent with our daughter, it's false”, affirms her mother, Aurore Rivoal, to our colleagues.

She confides that the teenager had to go to Saint-Malo this Saturday and Sunday to be selected as a ball girl at Roland-Garros. “We're at the end of our rope, we can't sleep anymore […] It's a long time to wait without an answer, without knowing what to say to our children,” she adds.

Many means are being used to find Morgane. 800 people gathered this Friday for a hunt.
