Undersecretariat participates in the opening of Moroccan Week and highlights the value of cultural diplomacy

The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Gloria de la Fuente, participated in the inauguration of Moroccan Week, led by the Moroccan ambassador to Chile, Kenza El Ghali, at the La Moneda Cultural Center.

The Minister of Secretary General of the Presidency, Álvaro Elizalde, was present at the meeting; the Minister of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, Carolina Arredondo; the Minister of Education, Nicolás Cataldo; among other Government authorities and members of the diplomatic corps in Chile.

“Morocco is a country with which we maintain a solid friendship and a very interesting exchange,” said the undersecretary, adding that “this activity is a clear example of that shared vision, and reminds us that cultural diplomacy is a key tool to strengthen the ties between our nations.”

“Chile and Morocco share fundamental values. Both countries believe in the power of dialogue as an engine of development and understanding, and in culture as a bridge that brings people together,” he added.

This is the fifth version of this event that aims to bring the culture of that country closer, through music, dance, cinema and traditional gastronomy, with activities open to citizens until December 8.
