Ercan Karaçayli will also be missing from the new episodes. The 57-year-old has been playing Prof. Dr. since 2023. Timur Tippner, chairman of the clinic’s supervisory board. At the beginning, his role could be seen in five of eight episodes. In the season that aired in 2024, Ercan Karaçayli only appeared in the sixth episode, “Late Episodes.”

Two other exits were already discussed in the penultimate episode of the 17th season and were therefore already known: Luis Immanuel Rost and Vanessa Velemir Diaz. Luis Immanuel Rost has been playing the son of Dr. since 2017. Alexander Kahnweiler (Mark Keller) and Dr. Vera Fendrich (Rebecca Immanuel). He left after four seasons, but made a surprise return this year. But after six episodes it’s over again.

In the episode “Order to Tear” he decides to leave the clinic with his girlfriend and move to Botswana. So the “Mountain Doctor” journey ends for actress Vanessa Velemir Diaz after just a few episodes.
