New show, childhood, highlight of his career, Gad Elmaleh spoke about numerous passages of his life in an interview given to Paris Match. On the occasion of the release of his latest one-man show “Himself”, Gad Elmaleh returned to a delicate passage in his career: the accusations of plagiarism of which he was the victim in 2017.

On stage, he does not hesitate to talk about it and, to talk about this story, the comedian says he stole a joke from his son. As the actor explains in the interview, the reality is quite different: “ I didn't steal a valve from my son. I wanted to approach the subject gently, without pride or complaint “, he declares, continuing: “ I have my share of responsibility in this plagiarism story, but it represents so little compared to what I wrote. » However, the actor admits to having monopolized certain jokes: “ About twenty years ago, a lot of colleagues and I took a lot of inspiration from the Americans and took some little jokes from them.”admits the artist.

Visibly at peace with these old controversies, the 53-year-old man now aspires to tranquility, and for that, living alone is out of the question. Single, the comedian confesses to wanting to meet his soul mate: “I'm ready for love”he announces.
