This Friday, November 29, Emmanuel Macron made his last visit to the Notre-Dame de Paris construction site before its official reopening scheduled for December 7 and 8.
The President of the Republic paid tribute to General Jean-Louis Georgelin, an emblematic figure in the reconstruction of the cathedral.“I dedicate this moment to General Georgelin, the face and voice of the construction site“, declared Emmanuel Macron, visibly moved.
“I think he would have been proud and happy“, he added, saluting the memory of the onehe directed the titanic restoration work until his sudden disappearance.
