The racing driver Ayrton Senna, three-time F1 champion who died in an accident on the Imola track in 1994, tells his story in the six episodes of the soberly titled mini-series Senna, available November 29 on Netflix. His passion for racing, the key moments of his career, his rivalry with other drivers and his incessant quest for perfection are explored in six episodes of this Brazilian fiction directed by Vicente Amorim and Julia Rezende.
To play the driver, the production chose Gabriel Leone, a 31-year-old Brazilian actor who played in another film on car racing, Ferrari. The rest of the cast is international, and we find French people, notably Matt Mella in the role of Alain Prost (Greek salad, Triger Point) Arnaud Viard (Emily in Paris) in the role of Jean-Marie Balestre, the former president of the International Automobile Federation.
