DECRYPTION – The Lower House must consider this Thursday a text of BIA aimed at canceling the transition to 43 annuities and the postponement of the legal age to 64 years.
The start of a very long legislative process. By forcing the Assembly to consider the repeal of the last two pension reforms, the Insoumis manage for the first time to cross the constitutional hurdle which had until now slowed down the previous initiatives of other groups.
However, if the parliamentary obstruction of the right and the Macronists risks putting the Mélenchonists in check this Thursday, the rest of the left could, within a few weeks, relaunch the approach of their comrades. With a simple calculation in mind: since the New Popular Front and the National Rally are largely in the majority in the Hemicycle; and that they are opposed to the transition to 43 annuities and to the postponement of the age equal to 64 years; then they will not hesitate to join their voices to bring down the Touraine (2013) and Borne (2023) laws together.
