The 76-year-old actor, signatory of the platform in support of Gérard Depardieu, is accused by several women.
Nine women, including dressers, makeup artists, hairdressers and production assistants, accuse Gérard Darmon of sexist and sexual violence, according to information revealed this Wednesday, November 27 by Politis.
The events allegedly took place on filming locations, in the dressing room or even on set, between 2018 and last summer. Several of them testify to having suffered non-consensual physical contact, insults and humiliation, or even propositions of a sexual nature. They describe a “need to touch women”.
“We can make love, you can come to my house”
According to the Politis investigation reported by Le Parisien, these women portray an insistent, angry and gritty man.
One of the technicians who says she was a victim of the actor, aged 19 at the time of the facts and a trainee, mentions a septuagenarian “pressing his kisses to the corner of his mouth”. “We can make love, you can come to my place,” Gérard Darmon allegedly told her, after a first proposal to the young adult. She refuses his advances and tells him that she is the age of his children.
Something that Gérard Darmon would not have digested, since he would have changed his behavior with her, in particular by calling her “female dog” or slut. “The production did not protect me,” she says, confiding that she informed her, as well as the management of her school, before leaving the set.
She decided to file a complaint against the production, members of which however reportedly warned some of the women against the actor's “wandering hands”.
Another woman, a director's assistant, confides that while she was sitting, legs crossed, Gérard Darmon slipped his hand between her thighs while saying hello and saying: “It's okay, you're not going to give me a MeToo !”
Ten other women gave evidence at the inquest without wishing to be named.
“When contacted, Gérard Darmon denies having been the author of inappropriate comments or gestures,” reports Politis. No complaint has been filed against the famous actor, signatory of the platform in support of Gérard Depardieu.
