PSV overthrow Shakhtar, Celtic offer a crazy counter-camp – C1 – D5 – Summary

Crazy goals and a crazy storyline, what more could you ask for?

Celtic's victory over Club Brugge (1-1) allowed us to see some exceptional goals. To open the score, the Scots first rewarded us with a high quality own goal: while Kasper Schmeichel had deserted his cages for a restart, Cameron Carter-Vickers did not take it into account and sent him a little back pass which finally ended up in the back of the net. Fortunately, Daizen Maeda equalized with a delight of a curling ball – all while sliding. The Belgians saw the referee deny them a goal in the second period, probably judging that it was not good enough.

Shakhtar thought they would achieve one of the great operations of this fifth day of the Champions League by winning against PSV Eindhoven, but saw their two-goal gap disappear at the end of the match. (3-2). Despite the territorial domination of the Dutch, the Ukrainians scored twice against the run of play through Danylo Sikan and Oleksandr Zubkov. The gap was not wide enough, and the expulsion of Pedro Henrique, for a very nasty tackle, helped to crack Shakhtar. At the 87e minute, PSV finally found the fault, for Malik Tillman's double, notably with a heavy strike from 25 meters, before Ricardo Pepi drove the point home in added time.

And Peter Bosz was able to sit quietly on his throne, without the slightest emotion.
