PSV for a crazy comeback
Surely the people of Brest took a look at this poster which pitted PSV Eindhoven against Shakhtar Donetsk, their next two opponents in this Champions League. Initially lacking realism, PSV, although dominant, allowed itself to be surprised by sharp Ukrainians, who led 2-0 at half-time. But Eindhoven was able to take advantage of its numerical superiority, after a red card from Pedrinho in the 69th, to turn the match around in the final minutes. A double from Tillman (87' and 90') and a goal from Ricardo Pepi (90' + 5) thus offered a second victory in a row for PSV in the Champions League. The Dutch, 18th in the ranking and therefore virtually roadblockers, will therefore arrive at Roudourou with very good momentum. For its part, Shakhtar is slipping and remains at the gates of the play-offs, in 26th place.
Real overtaken by Liverpool
In the shock of this 5th day of the Champions League, Real Madrid was no match for Liverpool, more than ever leader. The Merengue, deprived of Vinicius, had difficulty existing at Anfield. However, Kylian Mbappé had the equalizer from the penalty spot on the hour mark, but Kelleher rejected his attempt. Although Mo Salah also failed in the exercise ten minutes later, the achievements of Alexis Mac Allister (52') and Cody Gakpo (76') were enough to reflect the domination of the Reds in the score. Real therefore concedes its third defeat in five matches in the competition, the second in a row. While they are in 24th place, the last play-off place, the Madrilenians have two months to regain confidence before facing Stade Brestois.
