The next storm system moves in on Thanksgiving Day with snow, mixing and rain all day on Thursday with the heaviest in the afternoon hours.
Low pressure will move toward New Hampshire with rain, wintry mix and snow. The track will be close enough to bring impact weather for all of Thanksgiving Day with light rain and snow in the morning with some slick spots possible on untreated surfaces then the heaviest snow, mixing, and rain in the afternoon and evening before it tapers off late evening and the first part of the overnight.
Expected snowfall: At this point, it looks like little if any snow along the coast and within about 15-20 miles of the coast. A light accumulation of snow after rain in the lower Merrimack Valley from Manchester south and then a few inches of snow possible north and west of Manchester in places like Concord and Jaffrey and just north of Rochester. 5 to 9 inches of snow is likely, based on the current track of the storm, from parts of the Monadnock Region north to Sunapee and Plymouth and then east/northeast to the northern Lakes Region and up to the White Mountains. Any shift in the expected storm track will result in a change to the expected snow totals, so stay tuned to updates all day Wednesday into Thanksgiving morning.
