A pavilion in Saint-Loup-de-Naud in Seine-et-Marne was completely blown up early this Wednesday morning, following an explosion whose origin is currently unknown. A woman, who had disappeared for a while, was found dead while her partner, whose life prognosis is in jeopardy, was transported to hospital.
Shortly after 4 o'clock this morning, a pavilion in the small town of Saint-Loup-de-Naud located in Seine-et-Marne, on the outskirts of Provins, was completely blown up after a strong explosion, the origin of which remains for the moment indeterminate. According to information from Europe 1, a man and a woman were in the pavilion at the time of the explosion.
A former owner and collector of explosive devices
One of them managed to escape from the accommodation and was taken care of by emergency services. According to several police sources, the victim, whose vital prognosis is in jeopardy, suffers from facial wounds and an open fracture of the hand. As for the second victim, she had previously disappeared, but was later found dead.
Numerous emergency services were dispatched to the scene. A mine clearance team also traveled from Orly, because, according to the first elements of the investigation, other explosions cannot be ruled out. During the first investigations, a resident of the village told the police that the former owner of the house, a collector of explosive devices and fireworks, had died in the explosion of his vehicle in 2017.
