Anis Hadj Moussa once again proves that things can move quickly in football. The 22-year-old Feyenoord attacker experienced the highlight of his career on Tuesday. Just over a year after he was still accurate at Belgium’s second level.
The Algerian managed to score in a clever way on a visit to Manchester City, signaling the start of Feyenoord’s legendary Champions League comeback. Thanks to goals from Santiago Gimenez and Dávid Hancko, the Rotterdam team drew 3-3 at the Etihad Stadium.
Hadj Moussa impresses: ‘Playground footballer in modern times’
A year ago, Hadj Moussa was still playing for Patro Eisden in the Second Division. The frivolous winger scored his only goal for that club on November 24, 2023, during his team’s 1-2 win over Lommel SK in the Soverein Stadium, a venue that can accommodate eight thousand supporters.
More than a month after his goal in the north of Belgium, Hadj Moussa moved to Vitesse on a rental basis. Despite the relegation, the three-time international managed to distinguish himself with numerous dazzling dribbles. This earned him a fantastic transfer last summer. And Feyenoord seems to have secured a bargain with 1.8 million euros.
