Champions League: Atalanta and Leverkusen win

The Italian team, Atalanta, and the German team, Bayer Leverkusen, hit hard in the Champions League with two major victories over Swiss club Young Boys and Austrian club Salzburg, in the fifth round of the unified group of the European Champions League football competition in its new format.
Atlanta continued its winning streak, inflicting its fifth consecutive loss on host Young Boys 6-1.

The German League champions opened the scoring early, through Florian Wirtz from the penalty spot after a handball on defender Samson Badiou (8), and they doubled the score three minutes later thanks to Spaniard Alejandro Grimaldo from a free kick from 20 meters (11).
Virts added his second personal goal and the third for his team (30), and Czech striker Patrik Cech raised his team’s lead in the 61st minute of the second half to four with his first goal in the competition in his 23rd match, before Spaniard Alex Garcia concluded the scoring festival (72).
Leverkusen started their campaign in the main continental competition in an ideal way with two wins over the Dutch Feyenoord 4-0 and the Italian Milan 1-0, before drawing with Brest 1-1 and losing to Liverpool 0-4.
