Anne Hidalgo will not be a candidate for mayor of Paris in 2026. Some are delighted, others welcome her policy. “I will not run for a third term. It is also contested because of the debt of the capital, which exploded under his mandate, or even over the cleanliness of the city. On the left, there are already two contenders for his succession: his former first deputy Emmanuel Grégoire and senator Rémi Féraud, one of his loyalists.
