King Mohammed VI called on the international community, especially the countries with significant and influential influence in the conflict, to oblige Israel to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip and allow the return of displaced persons, with the hope of launching the process of rebuilding what was destroyed by this war.
The King added in a letter to the Chairman of the Committee concerned with the exercise of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, Sheikh Niang, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which is observed this year on November 26, that the continuation of the Israeli military invasion of the Gaza Strip requires urgent and immediate action from the entire world to stop the war.
He also stressed the launch of intensive diplomatic efforts with a new dynamism and effectiveness, to bring all concerned parties back to the negotiating table, with the prospect of reaching a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, and building a common future for the coming Palestinian and Israeli generations, within the framework of the two-state solution.
King Mohammed VI stressed that Morocco supports all constructive initiatives, which aim to find practical solutions to achieve a tangible and permanent ceasefire and address the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, stressing the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and putting an end to the repeated attacks on the population.
