Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, will miss, due to injury, his team’s match against Celta Vigo this evening, Saturday, at Balaidos Stadium, in the 14th round of the Spanish League.
The Catalan club lost only two matches in La Liga this season, and the irony is that the 17-year-old was absent from the starting lineup in both of them, which highlights his great influence on the team’s results.
The Spanish network “Relevo” reported: “There is great concern within Barcelona about what is going on around Yamal on and off the field. The club does not control exaggerated opinions in the media, but it will interfere in everything that affects the player’s image.”

She added: “The club will control Yamal’s image. Its appearance in public or advertising events will be reduced. All sponsors want to benefit from its popularity and use it in their events, but this will stop as of now.”
She concluded: “Lamine will appear, but less frequently, and preferably with his colleagues, to reduce the constant pressure on him. The goal is to protect him from this great media exposure, because he is still young, and even if he is mature, he needs help to deal with this burden.”
Barcelona leads the Spanish League standings with 33 points, 6 points behind runner-up Real Madrid (they played one less match), while Celta Vigo occupies 11th place with 17 points.
