Al-Ahly club’s first football team achieved a broad victory over its Ivorian counterpart, Abidjan Stadium, by four goals to two, in the match that was held between them today, Tuesday, within the framework of the opening round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
Mahmoud “Kahraba” opened the scoring for Al-Ahly in the 14th minute, after a cross from Afsha from the right, which Kahraba met with a powerful shot that went into the net.
While Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” added the second goal for the Red Giants in the 21st minute, after a pass from Taher, which Afsha met with a shot that went into the net.
Hassan Al-Shahat increased Al-Ahly’s lead in the 26th minute, after a pass from Kahraba, which prepared the ball for Al-Shahat, who did not find any difficulty in putting the ball into the net.
The Abidjan Stadium team reduced the score in the 30th minute, through player Kassum Kone, after a cross from the right front by Ben Gilles Kouyate into the penalty area. Kassum Kone received it with a perfect header that put the ball into the net in the right corner of the goal.
Kahraba concluded Al-Ahly’s quadruple in the 49th minute, after a wonderful penalty into the net, before Roger Assali added the second goal for Abidjan Stadium.
With this result, Al-Ahly earned its first three points in Group Three, which includes alongside it Orlando Pirates of South Africa, CR Belouizdad of Algeria, in addition to Abidjan Stadium.
