Rose and his players are impressed by the San Siro.
Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi filmed around the still empty San Siro with his cell phone, and Benjamin Henrichs also took a few souvenir photos. “It is a very impressive stadium. I just sent a few pictures to my family because these are exactly the games you dreamed of as a child,” said the RB Leipzig defender before the duel with Inter Milan.
The fact that he was allowed to play in the Champions League in this stadium on Tuesday evening (9 p.m./DAZN) fills him “with gratitude,” said Henrichs. Coach Marco Rose also expects “a hot atmosphere” at the San Siro for the Italian champions, said the RB coach: “I was allowed to play here once with Borussia Mönchengladbach, but during Corona times, the stadium was empty.”
Despite the starting position with four defeats from four games in the premier class, Rose and Co. are looking forward to it. “We are playing the Champions League in Milan. If we aren’t emotional about it and aren’t looking forward to it, then it would be our own fault.”
