Feyenoord’s line-up for the Champions League match with Manchester City is known. Trainer Brian Priske chooses Bart Nieuwkoop as right back on Tuesday evening. Quinten Timber and Gernot Trauner also return to the starting line-up.
Priske received good news from the infirmary ahead of the CL match with City, as Justin Bijlow, Santiago Giménez and Timber returned to the match selection. Of the three, only Timber returns directly to the starting line-up. This is at the expense of Ramiz Zerrouki in midfield.
Bijlow and Giménez will start on the bench after their longer absence due to injuries. This means that Timon Wellenreuther and Julián Carranza will still appear at the kick-off in Manchester. Jordan Lotomba is back in the selection, but starts on the bench.
Because Givairo Read is not registered for the Champions League, Nieuwkoop is at right back. Anis Hadj Moussa retains his starting position on the right front. Trauner is back in the center back. Against SC Heerenveen (3-0), the Austrian came on for Thomas Beelen in the final phase.
Man City
Nathan Aké makes his return to the starting line-up at City. The Dutch international takes John Stones’ place in the center back. Compared to the lost Premier League match with Tottenham Hotspur (0-4), Matheus Nunes and Jack Grealish are also new faces in Pep Guardiola’s team.
