Morocco submits.. The truth about Yousry Bouzouk’s refusal to play the Raja match wearing the fake map shirt

Raja Casablanca of Morocco explained that the team will play its match against the Royal Army in the African Champions League competitions with only a shirt bearing the Moroccan flag.

This comes after a wave of controversy over what was circulated about Algerian star Yousry Bouzouk’s refusal to play his team Raja of Morocco’s match against the Royal Army in the first round of the African Champions League wearing a shirt bearing the “fake” map of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Sources close to the club revealed that Bouzouk did not announce an explicit position, but he discussed the issue with the club president, Adel Hala, regarding his unwillingness to play in the controversial jersey.

Raja Athletic President Adel Hala said in a radio statement that what was raised about Bouzouk’s refusal to fight against the army wearing a shirt bearing the map of the Kingdom “is baseless and just rumours.”

The club president explained that the shirt that will be worn in the match only bears the Moroccan flag, not the map, explaining that the shirt circulating on the page is promotional only.

Moroccan journalist Mohamed Belaudi, who is close to the Raja administration, published a blog post on his Facebook account, in which he confirmed that he had communicated with the president of Raja and explained to him that “there was a confusion between the promotional video of the team’s shirt that carries the map, and the shirt in which Raja plays its official Champions League matches.” Africa and carries only the Moroccan flag.”

The president of Raja Club confirmed that the official shirt that the team presented to the African Union to participate in the African Champions League carried only the Moroccan flag without a map, according to the same source.

Belaoudi indicated that he also contacted Yousry Bouzouk and assured him that he would play the match against the Royal Army.
