Karine Le Marchand deciphers the success of “L’Amour est dans le pré” season 19

During this 2024 edition, eight of the twelve farmers managed to find love. The presenter spoke about what, according to her, explains the success of these couples.

This Monday, November 25 in the evening, the 2024 class of “Love is in the meadow” made his assessment on M6. Ahead of this meeting, the program's flagship host, Karine Le Marchand, spoke with our colleagues from Tele-Leisure . She returned to what made the couples she helped form last during this 19th season.

«We never see anything coming,” she assures in her interview given to Tele-Leisure. “We don’t know what it’s going to be, but we still believe in it. Every year, there is always sincerity at the start on the part of the farmers but it depends on many things. It also depends on the people who write.” Karine Le Marchand then talks about her feelings ahead of the season.

«But this year, from the start, what we knew was that they had great emotional maturity. They were really people who had questioned themselves, many had gone to see psychologists, they were able to verbalize their functioning and their journey,” underlines the presenter before adding: “They think a lot, ruminate, reflect, verbalize. It's easier to meet someone when you express who you are. And everyone expresses themselves, they are open books. It's quite easy. We are far from the silent peasants.”

“There are really people who want to get involved too, it brings hope. »

Karine Le Marchand then discusses the very particular case of Valentin and Flavie: the young woman learned that she had cancer during the filming of “L'Amour est dans le pré”. “They are giving us great lessons in humility this season,” she begins. “Valentin, it’s been a week since he met Flavie who declared cancer and he says: “I follow you, I am here”. He’s really going to be there until the end in his fight.”

Indeed, the 26-year-old young man remained at his suitor's side during her fight against illness, and still shares his life with her. “It also shows that there are a thousand ways to love”analyzes Karine Le Marchand. “Even if people are caught and thrown like Kleenex on applications, there is not just one norm among young people. There are really people who want to get involved too, it brings hope.”
